Hannah Shaw is a humane educator and kitten expert offering a variety of educational classes and training opportunities for shelter professionals, veterinary teams, rescuers, volunteers, and community members interested in saving kittens’ lives.
The event host may choose to organize their event as a single session, an all-day series, or a two-day series comprising multiple workshops and activities. All classes and offerings can be tailored to the unique needs of the host organization and their community.

Event Offerings
Educational Classes
Hannah Shaw offers a number of public classes providing engaging and accessible kitten welfare education and kitten care-focused training for community members of all levels. Classes are vary from 90-180 minutes in length, and can be combined to create a 1 or 2 day series.
Professional Training
Hannah Shaw offers professional and advanced kitten training for shelter staff, rescue workers, animal control officers, veterinary teams, and other industry leaders. These sessions equip participants with best practices for kitten care and program development, grounded in current research. Often scheduled alongside a public event, these trainings create valuable opportunities for regional professionals to align on effective strategies and elevate outcomes for vulnerable kittens.
Conferences and Conventions
Hannah Shaw is a regular speaker at industry conferences and conventions, offering talks which span from fun and entertaining to in-depth and instructional, with each event tailored to the needs of the host.
Shaw has lectured at dozens of national and international conventions such as EXPO, VMX, Best Friends National Conference, Cat Lovers Festival, Cat Camp, CatCon, Catsbury Park, Meow Festival, Leaders in Lifesaving, Ultimate Cat Conference, Animal Rights National Conference, and more.
University and Corporate Trainings
Hannah Shaw has led workshops at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Western University College of Veterinary Medicine, Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine, and a number of other universities.
Hannah has also led educational courses for national and international corporate teams in the broader animal care industry and global pet food space. These courses can be tailored to meet the needs of the corporation or brand, increasing staff fluency in a variety of cat-related topics.
Keynote Speaking
Hannah Shaw is available for inspirational and keynote speaking at galas, fundraisers and other events. Her speeches focus on how we can change the world through tiny acts of kindness, using fun kitten stories as a way to promote compassionate action. These talks are custom tailored for each host organization.
Hannah is also an experienced emcee who has served as the host of large events for brands, corporations and organizations across the country.
Small Group Sessions
Have a creative idea for a small group session? Reach out! Hannah Shaw has held numerous small sessions including kitten kit building, winter shelter construction, DIY cat toy making, CATivities for kids, and intimate hands-on kitten care classes. Hannah Shaw is also able to facilitate discussions for small group sessions, or to lead panels on a variety of feline welfare subjects.
Fireside Chats
A fireside chat is a fun, open, conversation-based format where anything goes! Choose your own local moderator to host a discussion with Kitten Lady and take questions from the community. These are a wonderful option to add to any event, and can be as formal or informal as you’d like. Let’s have some fun!

Meet and Greets
Meet and greets with Hannah Shaw can be added onto any session. These are generally opened to 30 people per hour—to allow time for each guest to enjoy a short conversation, have an item signed, take a photo, and get a hug!
