Educational Workshops

Hannah Shaw offers a number of educational workshops on the subject of kitten care, community cats, and feline welfare. These workshops provide fun, thorough and accessible training for volunteers, staff, and community members of all experience levels, providing actionable steps to improve the lives of kittens. Workshops are generally 2 hours in length, but go step up to 3 hours for a deeper dive with extended Q & A, or down to 1 hour for a shorter overview. For a full-day event, consider offering 2 workshops (and/or a professional session!)

Choose from subjects like neonatal kitten care, kitten-led weaning, kitten health, kitten behavior and socialization, helping kittens found outside, community cat sterilization, feline advocacy, compassion resilience, and more. All workshops are custom tailored to meet the needs of the host and their community.

Professional Trainings

Hannah Shaw offers professional training opportunities for shelter staff and community rescue leaders. These are generally 2 hour sessions covering best practices for kitten-focused programs. Learn about best practices for community programs, foster care, on-site care of kittens, and more! These may also be structured as facilitated discussions with teams and partner organizations. Consider adding this onto the morning of a public event!

In addition to her work with shelters, Hannah Shaw has led numerous professional trainings for veterinary programs, corporations, and other teams in the broader animal welfare industry.

Hannah Shaw is a regular speaker at industry conferences and cat conventions, offering talks which span from fun and entertaining to in-depth and instructional, with each event tailored to the needs of the host.
